The 5th Symposium for Aerospace Laser Applications (SALA) Coming in April!

The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology (CCAT) in cooperation with Laser Institute of America (LIA) is planning its 5th Symposium for Aerospace Laser Applications (SALA), April 14-15, 2010 in East Hartford, CT. While this conference originally focused on laser drilling for aerospace applications, it now examines a wide range of laser processes being used by manufacturers for aerospace applications. SALA 2009 hosted over 139 participants from North America and Europe listening to presentations ranging from percussion laser hole drilling by OEM’s to laser based paint removal for Air Force hardware.

SALA 2010, a two day conference, will again cover a wide range of applied laser technologies for the aerospace industry including:

  • Drilling
  • Cutting
  • Welding
  • Additive Manufacturing
  • Surface Treatment

In addition to the technical presentations, SALA 2010 is expected to have 25 tabletop displays by laser vendors, optics suppliers, support equipment, laser systems, and small and medium manufacturers for the aerospace industry.

CCAT is also pleased to announce that it has teamed with the Industrial Laser Solution (ILS) to be the Exclusive Media Sponsor and with the Laser Institute of America (LIA) to handle all Registrations for SALA 2010.

Your registration includes the entire two-day program, continental breakfast and lunch (both days), and the Opening Night Vendors’ Reception.

Visit www.laserinstitute.org/SALA for complete registration information.

This is a non-ITAR international conference with speakers and participants from the U.S. and abroad.
